Mi wnes i cyraedd Y HoBB ar y cyntaf o Rhagfyr 2019 a wnaeth Grant a Helen cymryd i i fewn efo breichiau agored! Wnaeth nhw ddangos i fi y prosiects oedd angen cael ei cychwyn neu gorffen, ag gad i fi ddewis beth oedd i eisio wneud. Wnes i ddewis cynllunio ac adeiladu bocs post, achos oedd y bost yn yr un hen yn mynd yn soggy pan oedd o’n bwrw. I cychwyn, wnaeth Grant ddangos i fi syt i fraslunio fel y gallai i ddylunio un! Pan wnaeth i orffen cynllunio, casglais darnau o bren o’r storfa enfawr mae gen Grant, a cychwynais i adeiladu! Ar ol tua wythnos, roedd pobeth wedi ei orffen a dderbyniwyd y bost cyntaf yn bocs post newydd!

Retaining wall

Yr ail peth wnes i cychwyn gwaith arno, oedd adeiladu wal. Oedd rhaid i fi cymysgu concrete, rhywbeth dwi wedi wneud o blaen, ond wnaeth Grant ddangos i fi syt i wneud o y ffordd Y HoBB. Defnyddiwyd cerrig naturiol o o gwmpas y eiddo, ac aru ni gorffen adeiladu y wal yma.

Here’s a poetic festive wish from Richard and Grant, performed at ‘Jam at the Rad.”. (words below – in English)

Christmas-We Want Out!

Written and co-produced by Grant at the HoBB and Richard Broderick when he volunteered here just before Christmas.
Lyrics:
So what if our birthday falls on Christmas day like his,
So what if we’re into salads, we just want to stay thin.
Yeah we’ve packed our brush, our toothpaste,
We’ll be on the plane at nine,
To fly away to frozen lands
For a happy, happy time.

Chorus 1:
The lights are on, The stars are out, The presents tightly packed.
The snow will fall, For one and all, And crackers will be cracked.
The fire will glow
And all you know
Will wish on stars above
For Santa Claus
With all the elves
To spread the world with love.

Snowfall,
Icicles,
Elves and ringing bells,

Gingerbread
Christmas log
Heavenly kitchen smells.

Lapland,
It’s dark,
Our fingers cold as hell!

We wish our birthday could have been in Summer or Spring,
We’d pack for sun and sandy days,
Like bluebirds on the wing.
But now we’re here in Chrissyland, with little joy we shout,
“Can we come home for Christmas mum?
That’s right – we both want out!”

Now Santa heard this tale of woe
“You really want to go?
You do not like the reindeer
And you’re not so fond of snow?”

“We’re very sorry Santa,
We don’t really like to moan.”
Then Santa smiled and waved his hand
And whisked them both back home

Chorus 2:

The lights are on,
The stars are out,
The presents tightly packed.
The snow will fall,
For one and all
And crackers will be cracked.

We’ll toast the year
That’s been and gone,
And wish the new year in,
All beside the fire tonight
