Wwoof (World Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms)

We had a Wwoof open day at the HoBB for local hosts and potential members. The Plant in the Wellington boot by the way is my interpretation of the Wwoof logo.

All Wwoof Hosts hope for willing hands to help them continue their projects. Most Wwoofers who travel around the world from host to host, aim to pick up new skills and gain experience and understanding of other cultures. There is no other international organisation quite like Wwoof for its ability to foster links between peoples and I think Wwoof has a long future.

Even if you are not interested in being a 'wwoofer' host or volunteer, take a look at their international web site or your local one and get to know the principals that hold the organisation together as I think many are worth replicating in other organisations.

We have worked alongside the UK volunteer network for over 15 years and without this wonderful support we could not continue our aims.
Up until now, we have only been able to work in the main, with UK volunteers, but we hope that through the Wwoof organisation, we will be able to spread the environmental message of World of Water to every shore.
