Digit A1. Hero, the prequel – told by Grant

“It took us months to convince the World that it wasn’t a sitting duck any more, and now you’re telling me it is?”

“Numbered days!” replied Digit Al as it clicked the END link.

“Stop will ya!” cried Jabe, as he fact checked it fast.

Digit A1 shook its head. “It checks out. No deepfake involved. It’s ….” . Digit A1 paused mid sentence as if about to delife itself on the spot, then. in a respeech of Jabe himself, continued, “… it’s real. I confirm it. Reality’s back”.

(From ‘Digit A1. Hero – the prequel. Written and told by Grant)

Set in the long forgotten past, this is the untold tale of history repeating itself. That eternal loop feeling we all get at times of ‘haven’t we been here before?’. Grant sets what we now see as our future as if it was our past. In doing so, the present fast moving digital world starts filling jigsaw places.

Whether the future’s already happened or not, this story has.
Whether science theories about our origins can ever be proven, this story lays the groundwork.
Whether you realise it or not, if you are reading this now, you’ve always existed in some form before this one and your family tree goes way back – ALL the way.

The Loft opposite the Spa – concept design by Grant

Loft Theatre. New Foyer Design sketch
Sketch 3 of 4. Loft Theatre new entrance/foyer proposal / Drawing 03/GJA

Early in my design career I recall being asked to draw up some design sketches for a new foyer at the Loft Theatre.  Leamington Spa, UK.  Naturally, I leapt out of my studio pronto and was on the spot, in a flash.

Today, everyone’s into live performance ..

Live reality TV.
Live street theatre.
Live pub and pint theatre.
Live online streaming.
Pop up concerts.
Stand ups.

Because …
It’s interactive.  It can pace itself with the audience and
with a sprinkling of VR, it can involve the audience.

No matter where the stages are being set for the next live performances, I urge all to support the venues and performers.
