Soul Creativity

Soul CreativityHolistic Practitioner, Hilary Foxwell, pops into the HoBB to give some sound advice to me about tapping my teeth to the rhythm of music – STOP IT !

When there’s music in me my holistic body becomes an orchestra of movement and it was not until my dentist remarked that I was showing some curious signs of ‘wear’ on parts of my teeth not normally associated with wear areas or eating, that I started to study my dental days more closely.

I caught myself recently allowing music to pervade my spirit to the MAX and yes, I was, without realising it, clicking everything including my teeth to the beat of the base!

Hilary to the rescue! When you get into a ‘loop’ action it can happen so automatically that you know nothing consciously about it and therefore need some help to by-pass the bit of the mind that continues the loop – especially if the habit it as loopy as using your teeth as rhythm sticks!

Hilary is versed in the Alexander Technique and teaches the Golden Wings System of Chi Gong and Tai Chi, working especially with Musicians, Actors, Artists, Dancers and now ‘teeth tapping creatives’. She visits New Zealand shortly to research the set up of a NZ ‘Soul Creativity Centre’ and hopefully, bring back loads of information on their complementary approaches to total well-being.

… it’s freedom of movement in creative expression on all levels but NOT for my teeth from hereon!

Big Picture

Gina, Intergalactic Real Estate AgentAnd as we continue within space and land upon ever distant outcrops of time, we will find more questions to intrigue us and more ‘unknowns’ to involve our time. During this time we will gain much and be entertained by our own discoveries.

This self perpetuating race to go further will take us to the horizons we set but whilst we seek such distractions, all the answers will remain, close to hand.

It is difficult to realise that we all hold evidence of everything. I exist, therefore I am the result of that which existed before me but as none of us can track down our family tree to a point before records began, we make up the ‘past’ to fit the present.

The Big Picture can seem so big that its edges are beyond us, yet many still to this day, like to imagine that they know a frame surrounds the edges of this picture. Some go so far as to describe the frame and some go further to define the picture framer. These people and their supporters are very wise in the eyes of those who see speculation as fact.

Today’s artists and authors work to share their understandings, yet despite being ‘of the now’, we still witness more than one version of most present occurences. At a time when fewer could write and paint, it was easier to be the biggest fish in a small pond. A ‘Google’ search in 2000 BC for those who were able to write what they witnessed would come up with only a few names and it is to the credit of these few that we are able to read anything about their times. But the further we go back in history, the less we know – the further we project what might be into the future, the less accurate we ‘may’ become.

Here we sit in a small window of being, uncertain as to whether linear or looped time rules because we lack the full text instructions for history, and our ancestors didn’t keep the original packaging we came in.

But if I could regress myself a few billion years I would understand my seed part in the making of this ‘result’.

Those who look ahead and behind along a linear track, are overlooking themselves and the answers they carry forward within them each day. Everything is the sum total, so all the answers are here as I type these words to you. Would it help to know what part of the primeval ooze you swam in or who was your earliest ancestor off record? Enjoy the mystery whilst it lasts!

Today, we all have the potential, to step another step and forge another tomorrow. Your life counts as you do, because you paint more of the big picture. If that picture holds together as one effective canvas that allows for the additions of tommorrow’s people, you are a good painter and a good friend to all and I, for one, thank you.
