Grey Water System Installation

Grey Water System InstallationOne bath or shower later and I’m sure the HoBB Garden Plants could use my dead skin cells in some way. There’s magic in re-cycling and it is not something that is green or environmental or hippy or alternative or new. The only thing that is new, and thus so green at the edges that it beggars belief, is the habit of NOT recycling.

I don’t think people are naturally wasteful. I think the idea of “waste” was designed, but who designed it and why?

>>

Whilst Eco green earth friendly friends work to re-cycle and reduce ‘waste’, others are in the business of promoting waste who are usually clots with a lot of clout behind them. For example, at the moment, I am in control of my own dead skin cells, and bath water, but what if a government banned the use of skin cells and bath water on gardens. This would force me to find a new way to remain legal. What if the same legislature then banned baths and allowed only showers – what would happen to all the baths for they can’t all be used as plant troughs – would they go to waste?

More examples: Billions of pounds worth of food is thrown in the bin each year because of new food packaging laws (UK) that require shops to put ‘best before’ , ‘sell by’ and ‘use by’ dates on foods. We are all being brainwashed beyond our instinct to regard these dates as gospel. Packaging is designed to cause over-buying and the dates usurp our minds so that we ignore our natural instincts of smell, look and taste when assessing when to throw food away and whether to buy it in the first place. Our habits are being designed by those that profit from making us ‘waste’ and like balls, we bounce back into the system to make further purchases thus feed this web of planned obsolescence. It’s very well planned by the way and it makes big profits but if we are going to contribute to it we must be honest with ourselves – we are to blame.

Another example: In Wales, all literature printed must be produced in two languages thus, if combined into one leaflet or magazine, it will consume 100% more ink and paper regarless of whether you can read one or both languages. If you read one of the languages only then the other half is going to waste. Not every printer / publisher creates this waste problem as some are sensible enough to produce two versions seperately so that readers can opt for one or the other. We compost paper at the HoBB but it would be a better net gain of energy if less paper was produced.

Well I seem to have talked my way out of grey water system installation but I’ll return here at a later date when it is all installed and I can put a few pictures up for you.

When you can … make some waves and make things better ~~~~~~~~~ <+))))))))>< ~~~ Grant
