Redolent White and Purple Wisteria Walk

Redolent White and Purple Wisteria WalkHi,

We are on the look out for un-wanted metal hoops from horticultural tunnels. We don’t need the plastic polytunnel covering – just the curved galvanised metal poles. Helen’s father, Bill (of Fruitwrapper fame), brought four lengths to the HoBB and they have made great climbing frames for clematis and wisteria. As we want to grow a long tunnel of wisteria, we need some more curves so contact us if you have any you do not want any more. Those that have visited the Laburnum Tunnel at Bodenham Arboretum, near Kidderminster (UK) will know the sort of effect we are trying to get using Wisteria floribunda ‘Macrobotrys’.

The main Wisteria arch, in front of the Cottage, has two purple Wisteria climbing it which should grow up to 20 meters when they have supports to climb upon. At the moment we are cutting both back each year to the single arch we have built.
